Louisa Jacobson Celebrates LGBTQ+ Visibility Award, Opens Up About Love and Support

The Gilded Age actress Louisa Jacobson is embracing love, visibility, and community after going public with her relationship.

The 33-year-old actress, daughter of Meryl Streep and Don Gummer, attended the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) 2025 Greater New York Dinner on February 1, where she received the HRC Visibility Award. The award recognizes her contributions to LGBTQ+ representation on and off-screen.

Feeling the Love and Support

Jacobson, who publicly came out in June 2024, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition.

“I am so, so grateful and thankful to the HRC. I was surprised because I had only recently come out,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s such a brilliant opportunity to speak about visibility and what it means to this community and what it means to me.”

She also shared how much support she has received since opening up about her identity.

“I am lucky to work in the industry that I do. I’m in a community of artists who also identify as LGBTQ. It’s just a warm, lovely welcome that I am blessed to have,” she said. “I don’t take that for granted.”

A Special Valentine's Day Plan

Jacobson and her girlfriend, Anna Blundell, are looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day together. Their plan? A night of dancing—a fitting celebration for a couple embracing their joyful new chapter.

The Power of Vulnerability

During her speech at the event, Jacobson spoke about how vulnerability is often mistaken for weakness but is actually a strength.

“To be visible is to be vulnerable. Unfortunately, vulnerability is often seen as a weakness. But in truth, it’s one of the most powerful tools that we have for connection,” she said.

She compared it to acting, explaining that the most powerful performances happen when actors drop their masks and stand in their raw truth.

“It’s the same in life,” she added. “The moments where we drop the mask and allow ourselves to be seen, those are the moments when we truly connect with others.”

Instagram Official

Jacobson made her relationship with Blundell Instagram official on June 22, the same day as her mother’s 75th birthday. She posted a sweet photo with her girlfriend, captioning it:

"Blessed to be entering the Joyful New Era bb ❤️‍🔥🏳️‍🌈."
