Kelsea Ballerini is pressing pause on several tour dates after falling ill during a concert in Buffalo, New York.
The country star took the stage at KeyBank Center on Thursday night but had to leave early after performing just five songs. A crew member later informed fans that Kelsea was “too sick” to continue.
Hours later, Kelsea addressed the situation on Instagram, apologizing to her Buffalo fans and promising to make it up to them.
“I am sicker than I am trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight,” she wrote. “I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. I’m so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-ass show.”
Unfortunately, her illness isn’t just affecting Buffalo—her upcoming shows in Pittsburgh and Toronto have also been postponed to mid-April. While disappointing for fans, Kelsea reassured them the wait would be “so worth it.”
On a sweeter note, she gave a special shoutout to a fan who gifted her a pillow, which she cuddled while recovering.
The setback comes just days after Kelsea attended the 2025 Grammys with her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, where she lost the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award to Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus.
It’s been a rough week for Kelsea, but here’s hoping she’s back on her feet soon!
