Jed Wallace, the head of Street Relations Inc., has filed a defamation lawsuit against Lively, alleging that she falsely implicated his firm in allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation related to the filming of It Ends With Us. According to TMZ, Wallace says Lively made damaging statements about him to the media, even though she did not name him in a lawsuit she filed just days later.
Wallace’s attorney, Chip Babcock, told TMZ that Lively made “false statements” about Wallace and his company, despite Wallace having “never met or spoken to Ms. Lively.” He further claimed that Wallace was unfairly dragged into the legal battle after Lively first filed a complaint against him in Texas and planned to name him in another lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Lively’s actions have caused millions of dollars in reputational harm, with projected losses to Wallace’s company exceeding another million dollars.
Lively’s legal team fired back, calling the lawsuit “a publicity stunt” and “transparent retaliation” against her for speaking out about sexual harassment. They remain confident that the case will be dismissed, stating, “We are pleased that Mr. Wallace has finally emerged from the shadows, and that he too will be held accountable in federal court.”
The lawsuit adds another layer to Lively’s legal troubles, as she continues to battle Baldoni over allegations related to their work on It Ends With Us. With both sides standing firm, this high-profile case is far from over.
