Hollywood Honors L.A. Firefighter at Star-Studded 2025 AFI Awards

Awards season is in full swing, but this time, it’s not just Hollywood’s biggest names in the spotlight. At the 2025 AFI Awards on Thursday, members of the Los Angeles Fire Department took center stage—and the A-list crowd couldn’t have been more supportive.

The annual event, held at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons, was originally postponed due to the devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles in January. So, in a heartfelt moment, the ceremony paid tribute to L.A. firefighter Tim Larson, who fought tirelessly to contain the flames in Pacific Palisades.

Larson attended as a special guest alongside Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and was met with a standing ovation from the room packed with Hollywood heavyweights. Stars like Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, and Harrison Ford were seen chatting with the heroic first responder.

Adam Brody, who stars in Nobody Wants This, was among those applauding Larson’s bravery. The actor and his wife, Leighton Meester, were personally affected by the fires, having lost their home in the disaster.

This isn’t the first time Hollywood has recognized the firefighters who risked their lives battling the wildfires. Just last weekend, the 2025 Grammys brought several first responders onstage to present Beyoncé with the Album of the Year award.

With so much love and appreciation coming from the entertainment industry, it looks like these real-life heroes will continue sharing the spotlight with Hollywood’s biggest stars!
