Wendy Williams Battles Frontal Lobe Dementia Amid Controversy Over Conservatorship

Wendy Williams continues to face challenges with her health, living with frontal lobe dementia—a neurological disease with no cure—according to her attorney, Roberta Kaplan. While Wendy has moments of clarity, Kaplan stresses that fans shouldn't mistake her occasional lucidity for a clean bill of health.

Kaplan revealed that a New York court determined Wendy was unable to make her own legal and financial decisions due to the degenerative nature of her condition, which requires ongoing care. Despite these challenges, Wendy has good days where she appears alert and engaged, as she demonstrated during a candid phone interview with The Breakfast Club on Thursday.

During the call, Wendy vented about feeling trapped in her current situation, describing her life as "f**ked up." She criticized her court-appointed conservator, Sabrina Morrissey, and claimed she is isolated from loved ones, alleging she can only interact with “nursemaids” who administer her medications.

Kaplan, who represents Wendy in her lawsuit against A&E for their documentary Where Is Wendy Williams?, dismissed rumors that Wendy's condition is exaggerated. However, Wendy’s niece, Alex, insists the former talk show host is not impaired and is calling for fans to rally behind #FreeWendy.

Under court orders, Morrissey is unable to publicly discuss Wendy’s condition. Meanwhile, Kaplan urges fans to approach Wendy’s upbeat moments with caution, as her health remains a delicate matter.

Wendy’s supporters continue to debate her situation online, raising questions about guardianship and her future.
