Luenell Speaks Out: Wendy Williams Doesn't Need Conservatorship

Comedian Luenell is standing firmly by Wendy Williams, calling her conservatorship unfair and unnecessary. According to Luenell, Wendy sounds just like her old self and is ready to reclaim her life.

Speaking to reporters in Inglewood on Thursday, Luenell revealed she recently had a heartfelt phone conversation with the former talk show host. During their chat, Wendy seemed clear-headed, sober, and as sharp as ever. "She sounded like the old Wendy," Luenell said, praising her friend's progress.

Luenell compared Wendy’s conservatorship to being locked in a prison, adding that fans rallying behind the #FreeWendy movement give her hope. Wendy, too, is reportedly eager to regain her independence and return to her vibrant life.

Others, including Charlamagne Tha God and Harvey Levin, have also spoken with Wendy and agree she seems in good health and doesn’t need a conservator. Luenell went a step further, labeling Wendy’s conservator as “the devil” and demanding immediate change.

This case has even caught the attention of lawmakers. A New York senator is pushing for reforms in guardianship laws, particularly regarding family visitation rights. Meanwhile, Roberta Kaplan, the attorney representing Wendy’s guardianship, claims the star has "good and bad days." Wendy, however, denies these claims, stating she’s never met Kaplan.

Luenell remains adamant that her friend can manage her life on her own, dismissing the conservatorship as baseless. As Wendy’s supporters grow louder, the pressure to revisit her case intensifies.
