Former Disney Star Stoney Westmoreland Seeks Restraining Order After Harassment Allegations at New Job

Stoney Westmoreland, known for his role as the grandfather on Disney Channel's Andi Mack, has obtained a temporary restraining order against a man he accuses of harassment at his workplace. The allegations come amid challenges Westmoreland faces after his 2018 arrest and conviction for online enticement of a minor.

According to court documents, Westmoreland, now employed at a Cold Stone Creamery in Los Angeles, claims a former neighbor has been disrupting his place of work. The individual allegedly told Westmoreland’s employer and customers false and damaging information about him, including accusing him of being a “child rapist.” Westmoreland asserts that these actions intensified during the holiday season, citing incidents on December 21, 22, 26, and 27.

Westmoreland states the man has shown up at the ice cream shop and neighboring businesses, warning patrons about an “unregistered child sex offender” employed there. While Westmoreland acknowledges his past conviction, he disputes some of the allegations made by the individual, though the court documents do not specify which aspects he considers false.

In 2018, Westmoreland was arrested in Utah and charged with attempting to arrange a meeting with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old for sexual purposes. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and served two years in prison.

In his request for the restraining order, Westmoreland expressed concerns for his safety, claiming the alleged harasser appeared agitated and potentially violent during these confrontations. He requested that the court mandate the individual to stay at least 50 yards away from his residence and workplace and to cease all forms of contact and harassment.

The judge approved the temporary restraining order and scheduled a hearing in February for both parties to present their arguments.
