Paris Hilton Aids Relief Efforts Following Destruction of Malibu Home in Los Angeles Wildfires

Los Angeles, CA—Paris Hilton is actively assisting her community after two major wildfires, the Palisades and Eaton Fires, devastated parts of Los Angeles. The fires have claimed 24 lives, with 16 people reported missing, and forced 180,000 residents to evacuate across L.A. and Ventura counties.

On January 7, Hilton’s Malibu home was destroyed in the Palisades Fire, a moment she and her family witnessed live on television. Days later, she shared footage of the destruction on Instagram, revealing the extent of the damage.

Despite her personal loss, the 43-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist has stepped up to aid those affected. On January 13, Hilton volunteered at the Pasadena Humane Society, helping care for displaced animals. She highlighted the story of a cat found in Altadena, an area heavily impacted by the Eaton Fire, urging locals to help reunite the pet with its owner.

Hilton's nonprofit organization, 11:11 Media Impact, has contributed to the shelter's efforts and continues to raise funds for families and pets affected by the wildfires. She encouraged donations, noting their importance in providing emergency relief, housing, and supplies.

In addition to her work with the Pasadena Humane Society, Hilton has volunteered with Baby2Baby and supported displaced families staying at the Hilton in Montebello, California. She shared photos of herself and her husband, Carter Reum, assisting families and distributing essential supplies. Hilton also revealed she is fostering a dog named Zuzu, surrendered after its owners lost their home to the fires, and encouraged others to foster or adopt displaced animals.

To provide further support, Hilton launched an emergency fund through 11:11 Media Impact in collaboration with the emergency relief organization CORE. The fund has already raised over $600,000 in three days, with a goal of $1 million. Hilton personally pledged $100,000 and committed to matching donations up to the same amount. The funds will help cover temporary housing, hotel stays, and essential supplies for displaced families, as well as support local animal shelters.

The Palisades Fire, which has burned over 23,700 acres, is currently 14% contained, while the Eaton Fire, covering approximately 14,117 acres, is 33% contained, according to Cal Fire. Together, the fires have destroyed over 12,300 structures.

As rescue efforts continue, firefighters, volunteers, and celebrities have played a critical role in saving animals and assisting local shelters. The Pasadena Humane Society alone has taken in over 300 displaced pets, with 80 animals being airlifted to safety last week.

Hilton expressed her commitment to supporting the recovery efforts, stating on Instagram, “My heart goes out to those affected. Bringing comfort and a smile to their faces is something I will never forget.”
