According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Garrett alleges that after Minaj’s April concert in Detroit, she summoned him to her dressing room, where a heated confrontation ensued. The lawsuit claims Minaj became enraged upon learning Garrett had once delegated a task to pick up her prescription to someone else.
Garrett accuses Minaj of verbally berating him, allegedly saying, “Are you f**ing crazy? … You’re a dead man walking. You just fed up your whole life.” He claims she then slapped him across the face, causing his head to snap back and his hat to fly off.
The lawsuit further alleges that Minaj’s security team surrounded Garrett after the slap, and she struck him again on the wrist, knocking documents from his hand. Garrett says he fled the dressing room and locked himself in a restroom, where he stayed for hours, fearing for his safety.
Adding to his grievances, Garrett claims he was left stranded in Detroit when Minaj’s team refused to let him board the tour bus back to Chicago.
Garrett is suing Minaj for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking damages.
Minaj has yet to respond to the allegations publicly.
