MrBeast in Talks to Join Potential TikTok Ownership

Social media star Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is reportedly in discussions to potentially become a part-owner of TikTok, one of the world's most popular social media platforms.

According to sources with direct knowledge, MrBeast and his team are engaged in conversations with multiple investor groups exploring the acquisition of TikTok's U.S. operations. These investor groups see significant value in partnering with a social media powerhouse like MrBeast to help grow and sustain the platform’s influence.

If the acquisition proceeds, MrBeast would invest in the company, securing minority ownership through equity. However, the specifics of his potential stake remain unclear, as no formal agreements have been reached.

Earlier this week, MrBeast expressed interest in the platform on X (formerly Twitter), even jokingly offering to purchase TikTok himself to prevent its potential ban in the United States. On Tuesday, he shared that several billionaires had contacted him following his post.

Despite ongoing discussions, ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, has not confirmed whether it will sell the platform to a U.S.-based entity. The deadline for the app to be sold or face a ban in the U.S. is fast approaching, with over 170 million American users waiting to see what unfolds.

As of now, no deal has materialized, and it remains uncertain if TikTok’s ownership will change hands.
