Meghan McCain Slams Meghan Markle's 'Tone-Deaf' Netflix Trailer

Meghan McCain has taken a strong swipe at Meghan Markle, criticizing the Duchess of Sussex for what she calls a “tone-deaf” trailer for her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The show, which features Markle hosting celebrity guests in a lavish kitchen, has drawn sharp criticism from McCain, who says the promo highlights privilege and detachment from current global issues.

In the trailer, Markle is seen cooking alongside stars like Mindy Kaling, celebrity chef Roy Choi, culinary icon Alice Waters, and her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. However, McCain was not impressed, calling out the contrast between Markle’s “aristocratic” demeanor in the show and her decision to leave the British royal family.

“There have been two terror attacks in two days, wars raging, and Americans struggling to afford groceries,” McCain stated. “This is a country in turmoil, and she’s out here promoting a lifestyle show. It’s out of touch.”

McCain also suggested Markle could have focused on addressing real-world issues, such as improving access to fresh food in low-income areas. She wrapped up her critique by saying, “This is why the world doesn’t like you. Completely and utterly tone deaf.”

Despite the backlash, Markle and Prince Harry continue their lucrative $100 million partnership with Netflix, although reports suggest the streaming giant is less than thrilled with the couple’s recent content. Whether With Love, Meghan will resonate with viewers or add fuel to the fire remains to be seen.
