Joined by WWE manager Jimmy Hart, Hogan attempted to promote his Real American Beer brand and praised WWE’s collaboration with Netflix. He spoke about his past partnerships, referencing famous names like Macho Man Randy Savage and Andre the Giant, but emphasized the importance of the WWE and Netflix partnership.
“I’ve had incredible partners, like the Macho Man Randy Savage. I’ve had giant-sized partners like Andre the Giant. But the greatest partner the WWE has ever had, is the fact that tonight, we’re making history, and the WWE has tag teamed up with Netflix, the greatest tag team partner of all time,” Hogan said.
Despite Hogan’s attempts to make light of the moment, the crowd’s disapproval was evident, with one audience member sharing a video of the moment on X, saying, “Watching Hulk Hogan get annihilated with boos while trying to sell his ripoff Bud Light beer was effing IN-CREDIBLE. And I grew up a Hulkamaniac.”
Hogan’s controversial history with the WWE community is well-known, stemming from a 2007 incident where a tape surfaced of him using racial slurs. This led to his temporary removal from the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, although he was reinstated in 2018. His outspoken support for former President Donald Trump further divided opinions about the legendary wrestler.
Hogan wasn’t the only WWE icon to appear during Monday Night Raw. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson kicked off the event and later joined his cousin, Roman Reigns, following Reigns’ victory over Solo Sikoa. John Cena began his 2025 retirement tour, announcing his participation in the upcoming Royal Rumble, while The Undertaker appeared to congratulate Rhea Ripley after her championship victory over Liv Morgan. All three received positive reactions from the crowd.
In the night’s matches, Jey Uso defeated Drew McIntyre, and CM Punk triumphed over Seth Rollins in a brutal main event.
