Eva Longoria Donates $1 Million to Support L.A. Wildfire Victims with Bezos Award Funds

Actress Eva Longoria has pledged a $1 million donation to assist individuals displaced by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. This significant contribution is being made through her foundation, utilizing funds from the $50 million Bezos Courage and Civility Award she received earlier this year.

The donation will be directed toward two organizations: Julian Castro’s Latino Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation. These funds aim to address both the immediate and long-term needs of those affected by the Palisades and Eaton wildfires, which have caused widespread destruction across Los Angeles. Over 12,000 structures have been destroyed, leaving thousands of families displaced and in urgent need of support.

Longoria received the Bezos Courage and Civility Award in March and has ten years to allocate the funds toward charitable causes. This $1 million pledge marks a significant step in her commitment to making a positive impact.

In addition to Longoria, several other notable figures have contributed to the wildfire relief efforts, including Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Anthony Davis, and Jason Oppenheim. Their collective efforts are providing vital aid to those impacted by one of Los Angeles’ most destructive wildfire seasons.
