Dave Coulier’s Wife Shares Update on Actor’s Cancer Battle

Melissa Coulier, wife of Full House star Dave Coulier, is opening up about her husband's ongoing battle with cancer. Speaking with WXYZ, Melissa revealed that the actor's treatment has become more challenging since his diagnosis in October.

"It's been really tough," Melissa, 41, shared. "As the chemotherapy continues, it gets harder, but he’s pushing through with a positive attitude." She added that humor has been a vital part of his coping strategy. "He keeps his spirits up with jokes, and that really helps on the tough days."

Dave’s upbeat attitude isn’t just for show. The wellness instructor said they’ve been finding ways to celebrate the small victories. "Every morning, if he's feeling good, we dance with our dogs to a song. You have to enjoy those moments when you can."

While Dave, 65, receives plenty of support from friends and fans, he draws strength from his family, especially those who have faced cancer before. "He’s had a lot of loss in his life, losing his mother, sister, and niece to cancer. Seeing them fight inspired him, and now he wants to honor their strength," Melissa explained.

Dave first revealed his stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis in November, sharing with PEOPLE that it came after an upper respiratory infection caused swelling in his lymph nodes. "The news was tough to hear. They told me I have an aggressive form of B cell lymphoma," he said, describing the past few months as a "fast roller-coaster ride."

Through it all, Melissa has been by his side, managing his nutrition and ensuring he gets the right foods to aid in his recovery. "She put together a nutrition plan for me," Dave said. Melissa also shared her efforts on Instagram, highlighting how they focus on nourishing his body with whole foods and natural healing methods like infrared saunas, breathwork, and massages.

Despite the challenges, Melissa remains inspired by Dave’s resilience. "Together, we’re doing everything to support his recovery—with lots of laughter to keep spirits high."
