Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Fight to Dismiss Justin Baldoni’s Defamation Lawsuit

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are pushing back against Justin Baldoni’s defamation lawsuit, taking legal steps to have it dismissed.

According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, the couple’s lawyers have notified a New York City judge of their intent to file a motion to throw out Baldoni’s lawsuit. The It Ends With Us director previously accused Blake, Ryan, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, of orchestrating a smear campaign against him.

This legal battle stems from Blake’s own lawsuit against Baldoni, in which she alleged he sexually harassed her during the making of their upcoming film. Baldoni, however, insists that her claims are misleading, arguing that the lawsuit selectively presents messages between them to distort their working relationship.

The director also alleged that Blake and Ryan pressured his talent agency, WME, to cut ties with him. However, WME has denied any involvement.

Although Blake and Justin’s trial isn’t set to begin until March 2026, both sides have indicated a willingness to merge their cases. In the meantime, a key hearing is set for Monday, where Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, will have to address concerns that his public comments could influence potential jurors.

With tensions running high, this Hollywood legal drama is far from over. Stay tuned for more updates!
