Blake Lively Accuses Justin Baldoni of Improvised Advances in "It Ends With Us" Scene

Blake Lively is speaking out against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, alleging his actions during an unrehearsed scene left her visibly uncomfortable. Baldoni recently released raw footage from the scene in question, claiming it clears him of allegations of inappropriate behavior. However, Lively’s legal team says the footage only supports her claims.

In a statement to TMZ, Lively's lawyers described the scene as “damning,” emphasizing Baldoni’s repeated unsolicited physical advances. According to them, the footage shows Baldoni leaning in for a kiss, caressing Lively, and making personal comments about her scent—all actions allegedly improvised without prior discussion or an intimacy coordinator present.

“Every frame corroborates what Ms. Lively outlined in her complaint,” the legal team said. They argue Lively’s discomfort is evident, adding that her leaning away and attempts at deflecting the behavior with levity reflect the actions of someone facing unwanted advances.

Legal Battle Escalates

The tension between the two stars is part of an ongoing legal dispute. Baldoni has filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane. He accuses them of defamation, civil extortion, and interference with contractual relations.

Meanwhile, Lively has countersued, alleging emotional distress, mental anguish, and a toxic workplace environment. In her complaint, she accuses Baldoni of showing her explicit photos, discussing a pornography addiction, and making comments about her weight.

“Unethical Media Stunt”

Lively’s team criticized Baldoni’s decision to release the footage publicly instead of presenting it in court. “Releasing this video is an unethical attempt to manipulate the public and continue their retaliatory campaign,” her lawyers stated.

The lawsuit has drawn significant attention, with claims of sexual harassment and retaliation at its core. Lively’s team has characterized Baldoni’s countersuit as an attempt to silence her, calling it a textbook case of DARVO—Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.
