Wendy Williams Is Sober and Wants to Come Home, Says Son Kevin Hunter Jr.

TV personality Wendy Williams is reportedly sober and ready to return home, according to her son, Kevin Hunter Jr. He shared the positive update on Monday, stating, "She's sober and wants to come home."

It is unclear where Wendy is currently living. Her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, previously filed court documents claiming Wendy is "cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated." However, Kevin and the family are working to bring her back home. Kevin added, "Isolation is killing her faster than anything else."

Wendy has been seen publicly in Florida recently, including attending Kevin's graduation from Florida International University. A new video from that day shows her getting ready for the ceremony by doing her nails and trying on a new wig.

This update is good news for Wendy's fans, as her struggles with alcohol were widely discussed in her Lifetime documentary. The film even featured a moment where she drank an entire bottle of vodka.

In May 2023, Wendy was diagnosed with aphasia and dementia, which led to her being placed under legal guardianship the year before to help manage her health and finances.

Despite the challenges, Kevin's update offers hope for Wendy's recovery and future.
