Teen Actor Hudson Meek Dies in Tragic Accident

Hudson Joseph Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his roles in Baby Driver and other projects, died after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on December 19. The Jefferson County Coroner confirmed that Meek sustained blunt force injuries during the incident on Canyon Road. He passed away two days later at UAB Hospital.

Vestavia Hills Police are investigating the accident.

A heartfelt Instagram post on December 21 announced his passing, describing him as “confident, quick-witted, and deeply impactful.”

Meek’s acting credits include The Santa Con, Genius, the MacGyver reboot, and The School. Several of his projects are set for release in 2025.

A sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek was a football player who enjoyed sports, traveling, and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his parents, brother, and extended family.
