Gomez was recognized for her performance in Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building," where she reprised her role for the show’s fourth season. This marks her third consecutive nomination in the category, with co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short also nominated annually since the series became eligible.
Her second nomination came for the film "Emilia Pérez," a Spanish-language musical thriller by French director Jacques Audiard. Gomez plays a supporting role in the story of a Mexican cartel boss undergoing gender-affirming surgery. Co-star Zoe Saldaña also earned a nomination in the same category, while Karla Sofía Gascón, who plays the title character, received a Best Actress nod.
Reacting to the news, Gomez expressed gratitude on social media, celebrating her co-stars and collaborators. "I’m so proud of @zoesaldana and @karsiagascon, and grateful for this honor," she wrote, highlighting the work of composer duo Clément Ducol and Camille, who were also nominated.
"Emilia Pérez" led the Golden Globe nominations with 10 in total, including directing, writing, and music categories. "Only Murders in the Building" secured four nominations, making it a top contender in television, tied with "Shōgun" and second only to "The Bear."
Gomez is among a select group of actors recognized in multiple categories at the same ceremony, a rare achievement shared this year with Sebastian Stan, who received nominations for his roles in "A Different Man" and "The Apprentice."
