Michael B. Jordan Rumored to Return as Killmonger in Upcoming Avengers Movie

There are rumors that Michael B. Jordan, who played the iconic villain Erik Killmonger in Black Panther (2018), might be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in one of the upcoming Avengers films, possibly Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.

Jordan's portrayal of Killmonger was both powerful and emotional, especially in his face-off with the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa. Fans loved his performance, and he quickly became one of Marvel’s most memorable villains. Now, according to The Cosmic Circus, Jordan may be stepping back into the role.

In a recent Discord Q&A, the site’s Alex Perez mentioned hearing a rumor about Jordan’s potential return to the MCU. The speculation has sparked excitement, as it would be a big moment for Marvel fans.

While Killmonger died in Black Panther after a battle with T’Challa, his character has appeared in alternate forms since then, such as in the What If...? series and the Ancestral Plane in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Fans had wondered if Killmonger could return, perhaps even as a reformed hero, though this didn’t happen in the last film.

In a previous interview with Extra TV, Jordan expressed interest in returning to the MCU. He said, “Being able to be in the Marvel Universe was like a dream come true, and if there was an opportunity for me to come back, of course, I would.”

If Jordan does return, he would join other big names making comebacks to the MCU, including Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter. The possibilities for these returns have fans eagerly anticipating what’s next for the MCU.
