Jay-Z and Diddy Seek Case Dismissal After Accuser's Story Shows Inconsistencies

Jay-Z and Diddy's rape accuser has publicly spoken about her allegations for the first time, but inconsistencies in her story are leading Jay-Z to seek a dismissal of the case. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims she was raped at a 2000 MTV VMAs after-party when she was 13. She detailed her allegations in an interview with NBC News, describing events including a limo ride to Diddy's house and consuming a drink that made her feel disoriented before the alleged assault.

However, significant discrepancies have emerged in her account. She stated she spoke with Benji Madden at the party, but Madden has said he wasn’t in New York City at the time. Additionally, she claimed her father picked her up from the party, but he reportedly does not recall this. While she alleged the rape took place at Diddy’s house, photos show both Diddy and Jay-Z at Lotus nightclub that night, though they do not account for their entire evening.

Despite the inconsistencies, the accuser insists her overall allegation is truthful. Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has filed a letter with the court calling the accusation a "sham" and highlighting the lack of corroborating evidence or witnesses. Spiro also criticized the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, for allegedly filing the complaint without a thorough investigation.

Diddy’s legal team also expressed skepticism, referring to recent developments as evidence of false claims being exposed. Both Jay-Z and Diddy are seeking to have the case dismissed.
