Emma Dumont Comes Out as Non-Binary, Announces New Name and Pronouns

Emma Dumont has recently shared a personal revelation, coming out as non-binary and announcing a change in both their pronouns and name. The "Oppenheimer" star updated their Instagram bio to reflect that they now use "they/them" pronouns instead of "she/her."

A representative for Dumont confirmed that they identify as a trans masculine non-binary person. Although they will continue to be credited as Emma Dumont professionally, they will be known as Nick by friends and family.

Dumont has gained significant recognition in recent years, with notable roles in Paul Thomas Anderson's Licorice Pizza and Marvel's The Gifted. Their performance as Robert Oppenheimer's sister-in-law, Jackie, in the 2023 blockbuster Oppenheimer drew international attention.

Although Dumont has posted selfies and other updates on social media recently, they have not yet directly addressed their non-binary identity publicly. Their upcoming project, The New Me, does not yet have a release date, but their work will still appear under the name Emma Dumont.
