Disney Axed Risqué Joke from Deadpool & Wolverine Script

Disney's strict humor standards were put to the test with Deadpool & Wolverine, and one joke in particular didn’t make the cut. The R-rated blockbuster, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, was mostly given free rein, but Disney drew the line at a joke deemed too risqué.

Before the film’s release, Ryan Reynolds hinted at a single joke Disney requested to be removed, but he didn’t reveal the specifics. Now, thanks to Disney submitting the script for awards consideration, fans have discovered the controversial line. It reads:
“F***! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse cock in my throat.”

Sources close to Reynolds told TMZ that Disney CEO Bob Iger personally requested—though didn’t demand—the joke be cut. Reynolds reportedly had no issues with the decision, as the joke wasn’t integral to the plot. Director Shawn Levy had also previously acknowledged the removal of one line but vowed to keep the details under wraps.

Despite this omission, Disney allowed the film to retain its edgy tone, packed with F-bombs and over-the-top violence, proving that one joke didn’t make or break the Merc with a Mouth’s wild antics.
