Anne Hathaway Joins Christopher Nolan's Star-Studded New Film

Anne Hathaway is set to star in her third collaboration with Christopher Nolan, joining an impressive cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. The new project, shrouded in mystery, marks Nolan’s follow-up to his Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer and is set for release on July 17, 2026.

Hathaway first worked with Nolan as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises and later played Dr. Amelia Brand in Interstellar. Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, Hathaway shared her joy about reuniting with the director: “It fills me with so much joy … I love Chris and Emma Nolan so much, and to be invited into their world [is] one of the best places you can find yourself.”

Reflecting on her career, Hathaway credited Nolan with revitalizing her professional trajectory during a challenging period. After facing online backlash during her Oscar season for Les Miserables, Hathaway revealed to Vanity Fair that many in the industry hesitated to cast her. However, Nolan gave her the role of Dr. Brand, which she described as “vitalizing, reviving, and encouraging.”

Tom Holland also expressed excitement about being part of the project, calling the opportunity a career highlight. He likened the casting offer to the moment he was chosen to play Spider-Man, describing it as “the phone call of a lifetime.”

The untitled film, written and directed by Nolan, will begin production in early 2025.
