Nicole Scherzinger Faces Backlash for Supporting Russell Brand's Trump-Style "Make Jesus First Again" Hat

Nicole Scherzinger is facing backlash online after posting a supportive comment on a social media post by Russell Brand. Brand had shared a red hat with the phrase "Make Jesus First Again" on it, reminiscent of Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" hats, following Trump’s election win.

The Pussycat Dolls singer asked Russell where she could get one of these hats, which sparked criticism from fans and followers. Many interpreted her comment as an endorsement of both Russell and Trump. Some online users even accused Nicole of "predator enabling," due to the sexual abuse allegations Brand has faced—allegations he denies. Recently, Brand has spoken about embracing religion to turn over a new leaf, even getting baptized in April.

While Nicole hasn't publicly supported any candidate, her comment has led many to believe she’s aligned with Trump, which has upset a number of fans. In addition, Trump, who was recently found liable for sexual abuse against E. Jean Carroll, made headlines during his campaign for selling Bibles as part of his appeal.

Nicole's team hasn’t responded to requests for comment.
