Nicole Scherzinger Apologizes for Praising Russell Brand's Religious MAGA-Inspired Hat, Clarifies No Political Intent

Nicole Scherzinger is offering a heartfelt apology after sparking controversy by praising Russell Brand’s religion-inspired hat, which resembled Donald Trump’s MAGA merchandise. The former Pussycat Dolls singer took to her Instagram Stories to clarify her intentions, following widespread reactions on social media. Nicole stated that she did not intend to make a political statement, apologizing to anyone who may have felt offended.

“I deeply apologize for the hurt caused by my recent engagement with some social media posts,” she shared. Nicole explained that she didn’t realize her comments could be seen as politically charged and emphasized that the interpretations of her post didn’t reflect her true beliefs or voting choices.

Nicole also voiced her support for marginalized communities who felt disheartened by recent political events, saying that in light of current challenges, she found solace in her faith. She explained that her comment on Russell’s Instagram post, which displayed a hat reading “Make Jesus First Again,” was an endorsement of what she saw as a message of love and faith.

“For me, Christ embodies peace, compassion, hope, and — above all — unconditional love, especially for those who may feel it the least right now,” she wrote, adding that she hoped people could come together with understanding during this time.

Despite Nicole’s explanation, she didn’t address fans’ concerns about her choice to follow Russell Brand, who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied. This omission has led some to wonder if Nicole might issue another clarifying statement.
