Three Charged in Connection to Liam Payne’s Tragic Death in Buenos Aires

Three individuals have been formally charged in connection with Liam Payne’s death, Argentine authorities have confirmed. The One Direction star tragically fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires three weeks ago. Sources reveal that those charged include a hotel worker, a friend, and a suspected drug supplier.

Investigators report that the "friend," who was present in Liam’s room but later left, faces a charge for abandonment of a person before death. Another suspect, a hotel housekeeper, allegedly smuggled drugs into Liam's room, concealing them in a soap box—a Dove soap bar only accessible to hotel staff raised suspicion early on.

The third suspect, described as a drug supplier, reportedly delivered narcotics to Liam twice on October 14, just days before the tragic incident. Both the alleged dealer and the housekeeper now face drug-dealing charges.

Authorities painstakingly analyzed more than 800 hours of hotel surveillance footage and conducted extensive raids at the hotel and surrounding locations. The investigation intensified after the autopsy found cocaine, crack, ketamine, ecstasy, and crystal meth in Liam's system, hinting at possible foul play or negligence.

Liam had initially been in Buenos Aires to support former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena. Following the show, he extended his stay with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. However, Kate later returned to the U.S., leaving Liam alone in Buenos Aires, where his behavior reportedly grew erratic.

After Liam's tragic fall, photos of his hotel room revealed a chaotic scene littered with drugs and paraphernalia. Liam had spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, having recently celebrated sobriety following rehab. His father, Geoff Payne, traveled to Buenos Aires to support the investigation, which now implicates several individuals in the case.

Liam’s body has been returned to the UK for his family to lay him to rest, as fans worldwide continue to mourn the loss of the beloved singer.
