Legendary Music Icon Quincy Jones Passes Away at 91


Quincy Jones, the legendary music visionary behind some of the biggest names in entertainment, has passed away at the age of 91. His publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that Quincy died peacefully at his home in Bel Air on Sunday night, surrounded by his loved ones.

In a heartfelt statement, Quincy's family shared, "Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. Although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him."

Quincy’s family expressed their gratitude for the tremendous support and condolences they've received and requested privacy during this period of mourning. They have also asked, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to The Jazz Foundation of America.

With a career spanning decades, Quincy Jones became a monumental figure in music and entertainment, recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 20th century's most influential jazz musicians. Known for his roles as a composer, record producer, artist, film producer, and much more, Quincy worked alongside icons like Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Will Smith. His work with Michael Jackson on the albums Off the Wall, Bad, and the record-shattering Thriller solidified his status as one of the industry's greatest producers.
