Keira Knightley Shares Hilarious Traffic Encounter and Previews Spy Thriller Black Doves on The Graham Norton Show

Keira Knightley recently shared a funny story on The Graham Norton Show that had the audience laughing. While stuck in traffic, a car full of construction workers began holding up cue cards at her, recreating a scene from Love Actually. In the movie, Andrew Lincoln's character uses cue cards to confess his love for Juliet, played by Knightley. The actress found the experience both "creepy and sweet" at the same time, much like the iconic scene in the film.

Knightley was on the show to promote her upcoming spy thriller Black Doves, where she stars as Helen, a woman with a secret identity caught up in a dangerous love affair. The film, set to release on December 5, features Knightley in a role much more physically demanding than what was originally planned. Initially, her character was only supposed to pretend to be a spy, but the second draft of the script had her participating in action scenes like knife fighting and Ju-Jitsu. "We went from it being easy and lovely to a lot of fighting and a lot of training," Knightley shared.

On the same episode, music legend Cher also joined to promote her new memoir. She reflected on her relationship with her late ex-husband, Sonny Bono. Despite their ups and downs, including tensions over management and finances, Cher emphasized there was no lingering bitterness. "I was angry with him, but I just couldn’t be mad at him. We were friends until he died," she said, speaking warmly of their bond.
