Jenna Ortega Sparks Marvel Rumors as Fans Hope for Her Return to the MCU

Jenna Ortega's rise to stardom has been nothing short of impressive, with her talent shining through from a young age. Recently, her roles in Wednesday and the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel have earned her a massive fanbase, leaving many eager to see her take on more exciting roles, especially within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although Ortega is best known for her more recent projects, she actually made a brief appearance in the MCU years ago. In Iron Man 3, released 11 years ago, she played the daughter of the Vice President, a character who had one leg. Fans are now buzzing at the possibility of her returning to the MCU, a move that has become a familiar strategy for the franchise.

Given that her role in Iron Man 3 was a guest appearance, there’s plenty of room for Marvel to creatively expand her character. Many of her fans are particularly excited about the idea of her taking on the role of White Tiger, aka Ava Ayala, a character that will make her debut in Daredevil: Born Again next year. Though the character will be portrayed by a male actor, there’s still potential for Ortega to bring her own version of the female White Tiger to life.

In a past interview with MTV, Ortega expressed her preference for playing original characters rather than spinoffs. "I love that there’s a lot more female leads nowadays; I think that’s so special. But we should have our own,” she said. “I don’t like it when it’s like a spinoff—I don’t want to see like ‘Jamie Bond.’ You know? I want to see another badass."

Beyond White Tiger, Ortega has been suggested for other Marvel roles, including Moonstone and Mockingbird—characters who have yet to appear onscreen.

Meanwhile, Ortega's busy schedule continues with notable projects. She was recently seen in Beetlejuice 2, alongside Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder. She’s also made her mark in X, Miller’s Girl, Wednesday, Scream, and Scream VI. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of Wednesday, set to premiere next year on Netflix, which will also feature Lady Gaga. With such a diverse portfolio, Ortega's future in both the film and television industry looks incredibly promising.
