Glazer addressed the controversy on X, formerly known as Twitter, highlighting Strahan’s deep respect for the military. He emphasized that Strahan's respect for veterans runs deep, shaped by his upbringing on an Army base and the influence of his father, who taught him values of service and gratitude. Glazer encouraged people to look beyond the moment, saying, “I know these days people want to be angry fast but maybe first, how is THIS for a novel idea. ASK him if he’s protesting something. When you protest you want people to know, don’t ya?"
Glazer further clarified that Strahan had no intentions of making a statement with his stance. "He was NOT, just got caught up in how beautiful the whole moment was during the anthem and didn’t think about it,” he shared. Glazer concluded by urging fans to consider Strahan’s quiet contributions to veterans over the years, suggesting that there’s far more to his support than meets the eye.
As of now, Strahan has yet to address the criticism directly.
