Halle Berry Accuses Ex-Husband of Custody Violations, Set to Grill Former Employee in Court

Halle Berry is set to question a former employee in court over allegations of conspiring with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez. Court documents reveal the 58-year-old actress added names to her witness list ahead of a custody hearing involving their 11-year-old son, Maceo. Berry and Martinez, who married in 2013 and split in 2015, finalized their divorce in late 2023. However, disputes over custody have reignited tensions.

Berry accuses Martinez of breaching their settlement and seeks sole legal custody, claiming he interfered with Maceo’s therapy and withheld crucial information. She intends to call Erica Simamora, a former employee, to testify about alleged collaborations with Martinez to undermine her custodial rights. Berry also claims Erica and another ex-employee, Miryam Haziza, made false reports about her.

Martinez denies the allegations and plans to call Miryam as a witness, aiming to question her observations of Berry’s parenting. Berry’s witness list includes Ellie Montazeri, who is expected to testify about Martinez’s disparaging comments about Berry and her partner, Van Hunt, in front of Maceo. Hunt will also take the stand to discuss his efforts to foster co-parenting.

Martinez, who claims financial hardship, requested $360,000 from Berry to cover legal fees, stating he had to sell a Rolex and take out a loan to fund his defense. The court tentatively awarded him $217,000, which Berry opposed, citing his behavior as the reason for ongoing legal battles.

The high-profile custody dispute remains unresolved as both sides prepare for the upcoming hearing.
