Florence Pugh Opens Up About Freezing Her Eggs After PCOS and Endometriosis Diagnosis

Florence Pugh is opening up about her journey with reproductive health, sharing the moment she had to freeze her eggs at the age of 27 after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis. Speaking on the SHE MD podcast, the 28-year-old actress described the experience as a "mindboggling realization."

Pugh explained that her gynecologist in Los Angeles, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, ran an egg count and warned her about potential future infertility challenges. The doctor told her that waiting five years to have children might not be the best idea, urging her to freeze her eggs. Without hesitation, Florence took the advice, especially since having children was something she had dreamed of since she was a kid.

The actress admitted that the situation felt strange, as she came from a family where having children later in life was common. Her grandmother and mother both had children in their 40s, so she never expected her journey to be different. Despite the unusual circumstances, Florence feels grateful for the opportunity to take control of her fertility, expressing how fortunate she is to have access to excellent healthcare.
