Conor McGregor Faces Sexual Assault Accuser as Civil Trial Begins in Ireland

Conor McGregor and the woman accusing him of sexual assault came face-to-face in an Irish courtroom on Tuesday as a civil trial began. The case centers around allegations from a hair colorist, Nikita Ni Lamhain, who claims McGregor and another man sexually assaulted her after a 2018 Christmas party.

Nikita testified that on December 8, 2018, after consuming alcohol and cocaine at a work event, McGregor invited her and a friend to continue the night at a nearby hotel. She alleges that what she believed to be a casual after-party quickly turned traumatic, claiming McGregor sexually assaulted her on a bed in a penthouse suite, followed shortly by a second assault from James Lawrence, another man present.

A doctor testified to multiple injuries on Nikita's body following the incident, revealing that a tampon had to be removed with forceps.

Neither McGregor nor Lawrence spoke in court but maintain that the encounter was consensual. The judge announced that the trial is expected to last around two weeks, with proceedings continuing Wednesday.
