“I never used to get balance right in my life,” she admitted. “It’s a journey, not something you learn overnight. For me, it’s about checking in with myself because bottling things up and pretending everything’s okay doesn’t work.”
Delevingne highlighted the importance of recognizing when to step back and prioritize self-care. “There’s power in saying no and taking moments for yourself. It’s about putting yourself first so you can do your job better,” she explained. Taking breaks, she said, allows her to return to work more committed, present, and aligned with what truly brings her happiness.
Being open about her struggles with anxiety and depression has also been a key part of her journey. The Carnival Row star said prioritizing her mental wellbeing makes a significant difference. “Feeling good on the inside is the best feeling in the world,” she shared, adding that breathing practices help her stay grounded.
“Breathing helps me get out of my head and into my body,” she said. “When you’re disconnected from yourself, you’re disconnected from others. That’s when insecurities creep in, and your mind tells you unhelpful messages.”
Delevingne hopes her honesty about adversity and resilience will inspire others to prioritize their mental health and embrace their own journeys.
