Tupac Shakur's Family Hires Lawyer to Investigate Sean Combs' Possible Involvement in Murder

The family of Tupac Shakur has hired prominent lawyer Alex Spiro to investigate possible connections between Sean Combs and Shakur's murder, as confirmed by Rolling Stone. This move comes as Shakur's family has engaged a team of investigators to explore any potential involvement of the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment in the rapper's death.

A representative for Combs did not respond to a request for comment, but he has consistently denied any involvement in Shakur's murder. Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996, during the intense East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry. His murder remains unsolved, although there was a breakthrough in September 2023 when Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis, a member of the Compton Crips gang, was arrested and charged with the crime. Davis has alleged that Combs offered $1 million for a hit on Shakur.

In addition to these developments, Combs recently faced legal troubles, including charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, following a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.

Spiro is a leading attorney in Hollywood, known for representing high-profile clients such as Megan Thee Stallion, Jay-Z, and Elon Musk. He recently achieved a significant victory when a New Mexico judge dismissed involuntary manslaughter charges against actor Alec Baldwin. Spiro is also currently representing New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is dealing with corruption and bribery allegations.
