Tom Hanks and Robin Wright Reunite on Screen After 30 Years in New Film Here

Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are back together on the big screen, nearly 30 years after captivating audiences in Forrest Gump. Reuniting for the new film Here, Hanks shared his excitement about working with Wright again, calling it a natural and familiar experience despite the decades that have passed.

At the world premiere of Here on Friday, October 25, during the AFI Fest in Los Angeles, Hanks noted how effortless it was to pick up where they left off. "We just picked up right where we left off," he said, describing the connection as seamless. "I'm going to say we love each other because we're so easy with each other," Hanks added, expressing how their shared history allowed them to fall back into old conversations and jokes.

Wright echoed these sentiments, saying it was refreshing to work with Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis again. For her, collaborating with familiar faces brought a unique comfort and compatibility. "Working with people you know and you’re compatible with, there’s nothing like that," Wright told People, emphasizing the importance of her lasting connection with Hanks.

In Here, directed by Zemeckis and adapted from Richard McGuire’s 2014 graphic novel, Hanks and Wright join an ensemble cast that includes Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly. The story unfolds over a century, exploring the lives of families as they share love, loss, and laughter within the walls of a single home.
