Taylor Swift Handles Stage Malfunction Like a Pro, Delights Fans with Surprise Moments in New Orleans

Taylor Swift proved once again she's a pro at handling stage hiccups. During her Eras Tour show in New Orleans on Sunday, October 27, the "Shake It Off" singer didn’t miss a beat when her reflective silver platform, known as the “Tayoomba,” suddenly malfunctioned. In a clip shared by fans, Swift was mid-performance of her 2024 hit "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" when the floating platform stopped moving just as she sang, “So tell me everything is not about me.”

Unfazed, Swift smoothly stepped off the platform, casually strutted across the stage, and continued her performance while her dance crew removed the equipment. Fans got a treat as Swift shifted gears, delivering a spirited rendition of her hit "Down Bad" away from the usual set stage for the first time on tour. Her quick thinking and improvisation only added to the electric energy of the show.

Taylor’s shows are always buzzing with headlines, from her jaw-dropping performances to nods to her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce. Recently, fans have been abuzz with “Tayvoodoo” rumors, sparked when Kelce scored his first touchdown of the season just a day after Swift jokingly gestured a touchdown onstage. Though Kelce wasn’t at her New Orleans shows, Swift still had plenty of famous faces in the crowd.

Longtime friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted at two of her three New Orleans concerts, cheering on Swift and even sporting matching outfits while dancing along to her hits. In a playful moment during one of her performances, Swift even mimicked throwing a football during “Midnight Rain,” drawing cheers from the crowd.
