Tom Holland Promises Spider-Man 4 Will ‘Do Justice’ to the Iconic Hero

Tom Holland has hinted at an exciting return for Spider-Man, revealing that he recently read the script for the much-anticipated fourth film in the franchise. Speaking on the Rich Roll Podcast, Holland shared his enthusiasm after reviewing the script alongside his co-star and girlfriend, Zendaya.

The Uncharted actor noted that while the script still needs some fine-tuning, the pair were thrilled with what they read. “Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and at times we were bouncing around the living room like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect,’” he said.

However, Holland also acknowledged that the team has some work ahead before the movie enters production. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the film fits seamlessly within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) timeline, calling it “a tall order” but one that is “definitely achievable” thanks to the talented crew involved.

Holland has been vocal about his dedication to the Spider-Man character, previously stating that he would only return if the project did justice to the beloved superhero. “I won’t be doing another film until the script is great,” he told The Hollywood Reporter last year.

Since his debut as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Holland has starred in three solo Spider-Man films as part of the MCU, including the blockbuster hit Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, which also featured Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in a groundbreaking crossover.

Holland remains focused on protecting the legacy of Spider-Man, and fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on the next chapter in the iconic superhero’s story.
