According to sources, Bullock is not only competing for an Academy Award herself but also working behind the scenes to block Jolie from gaining recognition. An insider told In Touch Weekly, “Sandra has a history with Angie, and there are those in Angelina’s camp who feel that Gravity should have gone to her.” Jolie was said to be very interested in the part before Bullock landed it. This has only added to the ongoing feud, especially since Bullock and Pitt have collaborated on two recent films, The Lost City and Bullet Train. These collaborations seem to have strengthened the bond between Bullock and Pitt, further complicating the dynamic.

Adding more intrigue, Jennifer Aniston has reportedly joined the fray. With a long-standing feud with Jolie due to her past marriage to Pitt, Aniston is said to be working with Bullock to hinder Jolie’s Oscar chances.
