Known for his work with artists like Jamie Foxx and Wiz Khalifa, Pounds expressed on X that he wants Liam's family to decide when or if the song should be released. He stated, “Today I’m deciding to hold 'Do No Wrong' and leave those liberties up to all family members. I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choosing.”
Pounds emphasized that his choice does not reflect any negative feelings about the song, mentioning that everyone who has heard it loves it. He added, “It’s not the time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam, and I want the family to [mourn] in peace and in prayer. We will all wait.”
Previously, he had shared presave links for the single, which was scheduled for release on Friday, hoping it would be a blessing to the world. However, he later deleted those posts, seemingly regretting his earlier announcement.
During his time with One Direction, Liam and his bandmates released five successful albums, including "Up All Night" and "Made in the A.M." As a solo artist, he released his debut album, "LP1," in 2019, featuring the hit "Strip That Down."
Liam's last project, a singing competition series for Netflix titled "Building the Band," is currently in limbo following his tragic death earlier this month in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is survived by his parents, Geoff and Karen, his two sisters, Ruth and Nicola, and his 7-year-old son, Bear.
