Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Chelsea Arrested for Child Neglect and Drug Possession

Chelsea Belle O'Donnell, daughter of comedian Rosie O'Donnell, was arrested last month on charges of child neglect and drug possession. The 27-year-old faces multiple felonies, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, and possession of methamphetamine and THC. The charges came after police responded to a domestic dispute at her home in Marinette, Wisconsin, on September 10.

Upon arrival, officers noticed Chelsea had dilated pupils and gave inconsistent statements. A search revealed a meth pipe in her pocket, and further investigation uncovered a dangerous environment for her 11-month-old son. The home contained drug paraphernalia, including meth pipes, used needles, and butane bottles, all within easy reach of the child. Officers also found evidence suggesting the house was used for meth production and drug trafficking.

Following her arrest, Chelsea's son was placed in the care of friends of her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund. The police report highlighted that Chelsea and Jacob were more focused on their drug habits than providing a safe environment for their child.

Chelsea's troubles didn’t end there. On October 10, she was arrested again after allegedly trying to discard a meth pipe from her car. Officers found more drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, and Chelsea tested positive for oxycodone, morphine, and meth. She now faces additional charges, including drug possession and bail jumping, with court hearings set for November.

Rosie O'Donnell addressed the issue on Instagram, expressing her family's ongoing struggles with Chelsea's decade-long battle with addiction. Chelsea, adopted by Rosie and her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, has faced public scrutiny before, including a 2015 incident when she went missing and was found at a suspected drug dealer’s home. Despite her challenges, her family remains hopeful for her recovery.
