Megan Thee Stallion Sues YouTuber Milagro Gramz for Spreading False Information About Tory Lanez Shooting

Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against YouTuber Milagro Gramz, accusing her of spreading false information about the 2020 shooting incident involving rapper Tory Lanez. In the lawsuit, Megan, known for her impactful music and activism, aims to address what she calls “countless attacks on [her] character” by social media figures misrepresenting themselves as credible sources.

Megan's legal documents describe Gramz as leading a “public campaign to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements” about her, particularly regarding the shooting case. Filed on Wednesday by her attorney Alex Spiro, the lawsuit claims that Gramz has been promoting “untrue and damaging narratives” that have harmed Megan’s personal and professional reputation.

A key point in the lawsuit is that Gramz has allegedly acted as a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Tory Lanez, trying to undermine Megan’s credibility. Megan's team states that Gramz's repeated false statements have caused significant emotional distress for the rapper.

“It is unacceptable behavior,” Megan said in a statement to Billboard, asserting that individuals need to face consequences for spreading lies and defamatory claims.

The lawsuit highlights specific falsehoods made by Gramz, including claims that Megan was never shot and that critical evidence, such as the firearm, went missing during court proceedings. Megan's legal team counters these statements as “reckless” misinformation, confirming that the firearm is still held by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Additionally, Megan's lawyers accuse Gramz of sharing explicit “deepfake” content online, a video that Megan claims is fake and harmful to her image. Court filings allege that Gramz “willfully and maliciously promoted the Deepfake Video” without Megan's consent.

Gramz has acknowledged the lawsuit in a post on X (formerly Twitter), indicating she might discuss the matter further on social media, which raises concerns about potential escalation in an already sensitive situation.

This legal battle stems from the shooting incident involving Tory Lanez, which occurred in July 2020. Lanez was convicted in December 2022 on multiple felony charges related to the shooting and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023. While his legal team has filed an appeal, the conviction remains in effect, leaving his legal situation unresolved.
