Matthew Broderick Regrets Turning Down Roles in Sex and the City

Matthew Broderick recently revealed his regret over never appearing in Sex and the City, the hit HBO series that starred his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker. During an interview on This Life of Mine with James Corden, Broderick shared that he had been offered roles on the show but timing and circumstances never aligned.

"I wish I had done it or been in it," Broderick said. "I loved that show, but it just never worked out." He confirmed that over the years, multiple roles were offered to him, but he either had scheduling conflicts or felt uncomfortable with certain characters.

One such role involved playing a "premature ejaculator," which eventually went to actor Justin Theroux in the second season. Broderick admitted to turning down the part due to its embarrassing nature.

Broderick also clarified that his wife, who was both the star and a producer on the show, never directly offered him the roles. The offers came through professional channels. Despite missing the chance to be part of the iconic series, Broderick expressed his admiration for the show and his openness to future opportunities, possibly in its sequel series, And Just Like That.
