New Evidence May Impact Marilyn Manson's Sexual Misconduct Case

Marilyn Manson could still face charges for alleged sexual misconduct as new evidence has surfaced in the case. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón stated that prosecutors are reviewing fresh leads and evidence provided by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. Though Gascón didn't give details, he mentioned that senior staff members are meeting with the accusers before deciding whether to file charges. Gascón noted that he is not personally involved in these meetings, as it would be inappropriate during an ongoing investigation.

Several women, including actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco, came forward in 2021 with allegations of abuse against Manson. Wood claimed Manson began grooming her as a teenager, leading her to fear retaliation for many years before speaking out. Despite this, sources in law enforcement previously suggested in 2022 that Manson's case might not lead to charges due to concerns about the credibility of some claims.

Gascón confirmed that a decision on whether to file charges will be made soon and will be announced publicly.
