Loomis Opens Up About National Anthem Performance Mishap and Plans to Sing Again

Singer Loomis is opening up about her recent performance of the National Anthem, which didn't go as planned. Speaking in Los Angeles, she explained that her nerves and confusion about the event's broadcast led her to request a restart while singing during the Free and Equal Elections Presidential Debate.

Loomis started off strong, but a production team member interrupted her, saying they weren’t ready. This made her think the event wasn’t live, prompting her to ask for a re-do mid-song. She admitted that her nerves got the best of her, revealing that she has always found singing the National Anthem daunting.

“It’s like the scariest thing to me ever,” Loomis said. “Everyone is standing up all serious. Everyone’s all quiet. It’s scary.”

Despite the hiccup, she’s eager to give it another shot and hinted at an upcoming performance on "Good Morning America." Loomis is confident in her ability to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner," stating, “I can actually sing the hell out of it,” and shared a video of her singing for proof.
