Kristen Bell Says Her Kids Aren’t Frozen Fans but Appreciate College Fund

Kristen Bell’s children may not be fans of the Frozen franchise, but they do appreciate one thing about it: their college fund. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Bell, who voices Anna in the Frozen movies, shared that while her daughters aren’t part of the Frozen craze, they do recognize its benefits. "They certainly appreciate that they can go to college because of it," she joked. Bell added that her kids like to keep her grounded, noting, "Even if they secretly liked it, they would never tell me."

Bell shares two daughters with her husband, actor Dax Shepard. During the interview, the actress also reflected on how much working on a Disney animated film meant to her. She revealed she had “always dreamed” of being part of one, and when she got the role of Anna, she saw it as a chance to create a character she needed when she was younger.

“I wanted Anna to be different from the classic Disney princesses,” Bell explained. “I wanted her to be quirky, relatable, and imperfect, someone who talks too much, snores, and trips over things.”

The Veronica Mars star expressed gratitude for the creative freedom Disney gave her in shaping Anna’s character, calling the experience highly collaborative. She still feels proud every time she sees the films, knowing she contributed to Anna’s unique charm.

Bell is set to return as Anna in the upcoming Frozen 3 and Frozen 4, currently in development at Disney.
