Reggaeton Star El Taiger Passes Away at 37

Reggaeton star El Taiger, born José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, has passed away at the age of 37. The news was confirmed through a statement posted on his Instagram, which expressed gratitude to fans for their prayers and support over the past week. The statement, written in Spanish, mentioned that El Taiger is now reunited with his mother in heaven and thanked the medical staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami for their efforts to save him.

El Taiger was found shot in the head in a Mercedes-Benz near the hospital on October 3, and authorities believe he was shot elsewhere before being brought to the location. Two red gas cans were found in the trunk of the vehicle. The singer had been in critical condition after undergoing surgery, according to Miami Police Chief Manuel A. Morales.

Over the summer, El Taiger faced legal troubles, including charges for strong-arm robbery, battery, and resisting an officer, for which he pleaded not guilty.

Known for his music, El Taiger released several singles and EPs throughout his career, with his most recent release being the song "Bonita" in May. The investigation into his death is ongoing.
