Big Meech Released from Prison, Finishing Sentence in Florida Halfway House

Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, the notorious co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), has been released from federal prison and is now completing his sentence in a halfway house in Florida. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that Flenory was transferred from FCI Coleman Low to community confinement overseen by the Miami Residential Reentry Management Office.

Big Meech was arrested in 2005 and sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008 for drug trafficking and money laundering. Earlier this year, his sentence was reduced by nearly three years. While it's unclear when he'll fully finish his sentence, his release marks a significant moment as he is no longer in federal prison.

His attorney, Brittany K. Barnett, expressed her joy at his release, noting that Meech has focused on personal growth during his nearly two decades behind bars and is ready to begin a new chapter in his life.

The BMF story has remained in the public eye, thanks in part to 50 Cent, who produced both a docuseries and a TV series about the organization. The series, which features guest appearances from stars like Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, and Eminem, is entering its fourth season, and fans are curious to see if Big Meech will make an appearance now that he's out of prison.
