50 Cent Sues TraxNYC for Using His Name and Image to Sell Knockoff Jewelry

50 Cent is taking legal action against jeweler TraxNYC, claiming the company is using his name and image to sell counterfeit versions of his famous chain. The rapper filed a lawsuit against Maksud Agadjani and TraxNYC for trademark infringement and violating his right of publicity, stating that their recent TikTok posts mislead consumers into believing he is connected to their imitation jewelry.

In a recent TikTok post, TraxNYC shared a photo of 50 Cent with Drake while promoting various crucifixes and suggested that 50 should become a jeweler. Another TikTok video featured a cross similar to one 50 was wearing, with TraxNYC admitting to mimicking his style.

50 Cent had previously warned TraxNYC on Instagram about their unauthorized use of his likeness. Now, he is seeking at least $5 million in damages, as he believes the jeweler's actions could harm his reputation. A representative for 50 stated that he takes the misuse of his name and likeness seriously. Meanwhile, TraxNYC responded dismissively, suggesting that 50 Cent should focus on more important issues. Now, the jeweler must contend with a lawsuit.
